I picked up ‘Angry Ghosts’ on Kindle Unlimited for some light reading on a flight home, and immediately downloaded the second book as soon as I hit my layover. Black Hawks is a clear continuation of the first novel, picking up exactly where the first left off, and serves to fill in the back story of events that created this universe. No spoilers, but this one is all action punctuated by moments of revelation for the main characters. The finale left me wanting more.Product details

ok if you are a science fiction fan.Found it confusing in some parts
First book was good and i was looking forward to this one. I was sorely disappointed and chances of purchasing third book are not good.
I have enjoyed all of Mr. Farnham's books, Angry Ghosts was a wonderful stand-alone, so when I saw that their were two books following, Blackhawks from a Blue Sun and The Exhausted Dead, I bought them right away. So glad I did, they are thought provoking, detailed voyages and I find that I now read them over and over again as I do my beloved Dark Tower Series by Stephen King. These are must-read as far as I am concerned.
The first book Angry Ghosts could have been a stand alone novel. This second in the series is a bridge. It has some fascinating imagery of a post-apocalyptic Earth, invaded by aliens, It is a good story, lots of action, but serves as a continuation, will not stand alone.
Black Hawks From a Blue Sun grabs you from the start and makes you sprint from one chapter to the next. I saw the end of the book arriving and knew the story wasn't over BEFORE it stopped with one of those annoying cliffhangers that gives you no choice but to track down the next book. Absolutely worth the money but be prepared to purchase the next book as soon as you hit the last page.
Read the first book first, Angry Ghosts, you won't regret it. It took a little to get use to this Author's writing style. The books are that good. Black Hawks from a blue sun is the second in a three book series. It follows three Cadre one soldiers as they return to earth to find out why earth had been annihilated. What they find will change many things. If you enjoy world building, action, adventure and space, you will love this series. Highly recommended.

Excellent continuation of a gripping, compelling story! A seamless transition from the first book. Loved the addition of a new main character. The continuation of great action and excellent further plot development. Superb depiction of what earth could be like under the stories scenario. I am starting the third book today and don't know what will happen, but can't wait to find out. This may be end of this story line in the next book, but I hope Mr. Farnham continues to write science fiction like this. He has confirmed reader for life with his skills. Some of the very best SiFi I have ever read, (and I have read a LOT of it). Well done!!
